Wonderful weather for a dog show in Minnesota Thursday and Friday as the Portuguese Water Dog Club of the Twin Cities held our Regional Specialty celebrating our 30th Anniversary as a club. On Thursday August 25th, new titles were earned, and new handlers were welcomed to the sport!

Next on August 26th, with cool breezes on a beautiful August day, The Portuguese Water Dog Club of the Twin Cities Regional Specialty hosted enthusiasts and the best of breed at the annual gathering in Lake Elmo, MN. Dogs and handlers took the weather in stride, and showed beautifully.

Our Specialty boasted more than 55 entries during Friday's Sweeps and Conformation event with majors earned in dogs and bitches all weekend. Following the specialty was another two days of fun and excitement with St. Croix Valley Kennel Clubs All Breed Show.

OBEDIENCE and RALLY Trials were held Thursday and all classes were judged by Phil Rustad.

Our Sweepstakes judge was Mr. Jerry Schroeder, who enjoyed his opportunity to meet some new up and coming pups as well as a wonderful group of 15 seasoned Veterans.
