Beautiful PWD's In Ring 1, On a Rainy August Day

The Portuguese Water Dog Club of the Twin Cities held our Regional Specialty in Lake Elmo, MN on August 24-25 leading into the St. Croix Valley Kennel Club's All Breed show that weekend. While the weather wasn't quite what we'd ordered, the event went smoothly and avoiding the rain storms under tents and umbrellas provided a wonderful opportunity for club camaraderie!

Thursday, we welcomed new handlers to the sport and titles were earned in Obedience and Rally. Friday, dogs and handlers took the invigorating weather in stride and showed beautifully. Our Sweeps and Conformation event boasted more than 53 entries, with majors earned in dogs and bitches all weekend. We enjoyed a club luncheon and reconnected with members and PWD enthusiasts from near and far.

Thanks to our small but dedicated group of volunteers who make this happen. And to all the participants and spectators for joining us. It was another one for the record books!

OBEDIENCE and RALLY Trials were held Thursday and all classes were judged by Kathleen Galotti.
